One Community Organization for Peace and Development is committed to empowering communities, particularly those in remote areas, by strengthening the healthcare sector through training community health workers, equipping local clinics, conducting health education campaigns, responding to disease outbreaks, and improving healthcare services in rural regions. The organization also operates mobile primary healthcare clinics in villages and IDP camps, relying on data collection, analysis, and rigorous assessments to determine health trends and root causes of illnesses.
OCPD also works to prevent both chronic and acute malnutrition through an integrated approach that addresses direct and underlying causes. In emergencies, the organization ensures that vulnerable children under five, pregnant women, and nursing mothers receive supplementary food to meet their nutritional needs and prevent malnutrition. Additionally, the organization trains women in forming mother support groups at the community level and educates school pupils on proper nutrition.
Beyond providing healthcare services, OCPD is dedicated to breaking barriers that prevent the most vulnerable populations from accessing quality and equitable healthcare. The organization integrates disease awareness and information-sharing into its programs to reduce illness rates and improve overall public health conditions in the communities it serves.
